This weeks blog is about my Transformation. I had gotten totally out of control with my weight. Now let me say that again, “I Had Gotten Totally Out Of Control With My Weight.” The reason I’m emphasizing these words, in quotation marks, is to show that I have taken total responsibility for my own actions.
It wasn’t Society’s fault. There was no one else to blame but myself. No one force fed me. No one put a weapon to my head and said (Eat This Or Else).
That is when my Transformation started. I finally understood two things that were making me spiral out of control (my need to seek approval and my reliance on food to make me happy). I also wasn’t physically active.
It’s like when you go to the doctor. There’s no way for them to help you until they make a prognosis or know what’s causing you to be ill.
It’s one thing to find the prognosis and it’s another thing to act on the prognosis. I knew the prognosis, the reality is “I’m obese.” It is much harder to start changing the habits that contribute to why I’m obese.
I had a great opportunity to be on a NBC reality show, The Biggest Loser. Now please don’t miss understand what l’m saying, you do not need to be on a reality show to lose weight or to get healthy.
In fact, many more people do this on their own without help from a reality T.V. show. I’m not knocking the show at all. It gave me a great opportunity. I’m simply saying don’t wait for a television show to make a change in your life.
You need two important things to get started:
1. A Vision
2. A Plan
The reason this will help get you started is because you need that vision to see where you want to go. You also need a plan to get you there.
A Vision without a Plan is strictly an illusion.
Please tune in next week to find out the other important steps you need to take to be successful in making a positive change in your life.
You’ll also learn how NuStep played a Big part in my Transformation. It’s time to start my morning workout on my NuStep recumbent cross trainer.
